You are right, it is a tough time now for non-profits. I am sorry that you had all these difficulties this year. I am afraid I don’t have any suggestions on how to do things, but I do believe that a little more PR can go a long way! I do hope you’ll do better next year!

*sigh* Running a nonprofit with fewer sponsors in a tight economy is not easy. I should know – I’ve been doing it for four years. It would be nice to have a PR department on staff, but sadly, I don’t. It’s also been difficult since my web guy moved to Australia. But I’m glad some of the films were enjoyed; Friday night had really great films as well. And if anyone has suggestions about how to obtain more sponsors (we lost one major one to that very same Bicycle Film Festival, who is NOT a non-profit), finding more volunteers to provide updates, etc. Otherwise, it will probably be the same next year!

The Red Sox game definitely had an effect on Saturday attendance. I left at the beginning of the last film (the one you liked the best) to catch the end of the ballgame.
